Illinois is home to river based casinos, and there are nine major casinos in Illinois. Argosy’s Empress gambling den is located at 2300 Empress Dr. in Joliet. A total of eighty-five beds and seventeen suites available at the casino hotel. There are three dining rooms available. The gambling den occupies fifty thousand sq.ft., and has distinctive features like an 80-space Winnebagotm campground and twenty five hundred patron flatboat.

Casino Queen is anchored in East Saint Louis at two hundred South Front st. There are 150 bedrooms and seven penthouses close-by at the gambling hall. The gambling den occupiestwenty-seven thousand five hundred sq.ft. and presents several highlights. Aside from playing, Casino Queen offers a two thousand, five hundred passenger riverboat, a one hundred and forty spot trailer park and simple access to MetroLink light-train location.
